I have a 80L Bundeswehr rucksack for such items sans long term water storage of course that will be dealt with given the course of collection.

wow, 80L could easily become 50+kilos.

yes I bought the 80 L variant for the bulk of tools and resources and a lite 50L Bundeswehr pack for personal effects which is not a lot in fact, I’ve trimmed down a lot of unnecessary items over the past year.

Are you planning to walk around with it?

No I plan on using it for storage primarily now that I won’t be carrying it as checked luggage for a plane. I do plan on walking around with the 50L variant.

Yes, that it is I walk around dressed as a German soldier on American soil, I love the attention – for better or worse. One U.S. Army soldier said and I quote “only people up to no good dress up like that, like ISIS or Al Qaeda”. Insight into the American psyche and atrocious butchered German words.

I plan on uploading some footage I filmed, I make it a habit to film everything regardless if I plan on using the footage or not – mostly as an exercise but you never know what you might catch in the process so I keep at it.

It have also something to do with “law of attraction”. If you are ready and in the mindset to do something, you will be more likely to do it when the chance come.
Are there any wild bears there or any other animals that might be dangerous?

In Northernmost parts of both the American and Canadian Pacific Northwest, yes the primary concern with that would be there is no real way to immobilize such animals safely with a crossbow due to how powerful the shots are, the only real way is to obtain a firearm with suitable tranquilizer drugs which can also be dangerous. I am aware this one of those unresolved imminent issues. As for where I am at I’ve only ever seen Deer.

They might not be that big a problem. I am sure you can find the right infomation on how to deal with them and what time of the year you need to be extra alert. What about bear spray?

That is a good option along with coil snares even if the later option may not be the most guaranteed effective means.

The coil snares is to nasty! Remember you intrude in their world!

That is a good point, especially the larger ones, smaller ones for critters aren’t so bad when use sparsely.

I could maybe understand it, if you was sleeping in a tent and had a coil snare between your feet and the exit.
