Oh, yes. 🙂 I would prefer Trump over the other candidates, but I dont think that he will change things that much (western leaders usually don’t). We have to wait and see.
Actually, he is the only one I would prefer right now, even though his way of delivering the news is not always the best. But his motives are in the right place, that’s what counts for me.
I remember when we got a new right wing party called The Danish People’s Party (DPP) (Danish: Dansk Folkeparti, DF). They became the second largest party, in the last election. They have be having a key position in the parliament 2001-2011 and from 2015. It is just more of the same.
I think, that is a good example why we should not expect much change from Trump (I hope I am wrong).
He may not have much influence internationally, but big business owners seem to bring their business back to the USA already now – it will give jobs, and if he does something for the veterans instead of giving millions to the Middle East that’s enough for me.
Now there’s so much opposition that it will take a few years or more to bring it about to pass. Am glad you are pretty neutral !
Am still a Dutch citizen, but at least I can have hope for the country I used to be proud living in.
Did your comment mean that you are Danish?
Good point! Jobs and veterans are definitely very important and that might be something he can and will do something about.
I doubt, that he will built a real meaningful wall and more so that he will send criminal and illegal immigrants back home. I think, that especially Israel and also Afghanistan, Egypt, Pakistan, Nigeria, Jordan, Tanzania, Kenya, etc. will continue to be a economic burden on US taxpayers.
“Now there’s so much opposition that it will take a few years or more to bring it about to pass.”
I agree. Things have been going the wrong way, for a long time.
If he change things to the better, someone (a new president) might just come and change everything right back.
I guess, that I am kind of neutral and I try to be factual objective.
I am worried for the future of our people (including US and Holland) and I see an ethical and moral violation of our rights, especially for us native europeans (regarding mass immigration).
Yes, I am Danish and live in Copenhagen, Denmark.
About Europe, it’s understandable you are worried. It’s bizarre how Europe changed in the last few years – almost hard to believe. From what I’ve heard, you are still in one of the better countries? I don’t envy the people of Sweden, Germany, or France.
What do they say, let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst?
Let this not prevent you from having a good weekend!
You are absolutely right, things have changed dramatically since the 80s.
Denmark is properly one of the better countries, but things are still very bad here too.
“What do they say, let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst?”
Yes, that’s what I try to live by. There are not much else, we can do.
Thanks, have a great weekend too. 🙂
Are you kidding – am going to bed right now:):)
