Heiliger Krieg – Flieg Adler, flieg!

The Eagle does not fear the great flight into the storm, don’t you see the dawn rising from behind the clouds? Even if you are badly shattered, a flight up to victory, and the world is overcome – fly eagle, fly!

Fly eagle, fly! Fly so very high. Fly eagle, fly! And show the world that you have dared. Fly eagle, fly! Into the light of dawn and victory. Fly eagle, fly! Fly eagle, fly!

How you have chased your enemies, from the depths to the heights, a battle like only you dared like the world has never seen. A Thousand vultures nest on your daring mountain fortress, the eagle has one more flight do not surrender, hold out!

Fly eagle, fly! Fly so very high. Fly eagle, fly! And show the world that you have dared. Fly eagle, fly! Into the light of dawn and victory. Fly eagle, fly! Fly eagle, fly!
Are the talons not as sharp as they were when you first began? In the fight you are still deadly and can defeat all your enemies. Do you see her wings fall by their own sacrificial blood, don’t you see your goal already waving, do not despair, have courage!

Fly eagle, fly! Fly so very high. Fly eagle, fly! And show the world that you have dared. Fly eagle, fly! Into the light of dawn and victory. Fly eagle, fly! Fly eagle, fly!
The Eagle has one more flight, and the cloudy path is free, and you see the sun shine and the flight is over. All the enemies have been defeated and this mad world is finally at peace, and you strive in the days to come, boldly towards the sun again!

Fly eagle, fly! Fly so very high. Fly eagle, fly! And show the world that you have dared. Fly eagle, fly! Into the light of dawn and victory. Fly eagle, fly! Fly eagle, fly!

Schönes Lied! Even I can appreciate this even if I don’t care for the fact that it is a Holy war they champion.

“Holy” might not have anything to do with religion, like the Holy German-Roman Empire (First Reich)!
The band used to be named Race War, but they got problems with the German government.

I dont understand much from the lyric, it just sound good to me!

You can add this to the description. I am sure you’ve noticed the recurring theme of “No surrender, no retreat”. 🙂

Also the upward destiny combined with the principle of No surrender no retreat and we can make a distinction between true European heroic spirit and saboteurs in our midst.

      Yes, great point!

Yes, also “eagle” as metafor for Luftwaffe pilots and Wehrmacht soldiers in general. Something they can do without getting in problems or even prison.
