On July 27, 1933, Hermann Göring took part in the wedding of Anneliese Cadenbach with Hermann Freiherr von Nagel on Schloss Rahe, as Göring’s wife Emmy cultivated friendly relations with Adele Weidtman.
Although the buildings had survived the Second World War relatively unscathed, after the death of Adele Weidtman, due to the subsequent unclear ownership and lack of investment, the entire facility became increasingly decayed, until it was finally adopted in 1979 by the Aachen Reinsurance Company was acquired and rebuilt in a timely, taking into account the historical inventory. After the move of this company to Munich in 1998, Schloss Rahe was now introduced as a business center of a new use, but also for meetings, concerts and festivities made available to the public again.
