This video and the historical narrative are grossly misleading. Both imply that the German army was entirely mechanized. Nothing could be further from the truth, as only a small fraction of the German army was mechanized, the majority being transported and resupplied by HORSES. Possibly the #1 reason for Germany losing the war was the dependence on horses, TWENTY MILLION of which were used during the course of the war. Of course, more vehicles would have exacerbated the already precarious position, vis a vis petroleum products. With thousands of more vehicles, and unlimited gasoline, Germany could have won easily.
