Two hauliers from Belarus and Lithuania, respectively, have to pay higher fines after their lorries on Thursday, 26 May. September was controlled by the Heavy Wagon Center South at Padborg.

During the checks, staff from the heavy-duty car centre south from the South East Jutland police carried out a special technical examination of the two lorries and were able to ascertain that the trucks ‘ Adblue systems had been manipulated. The AdBlue systems neutralize the harmful NOx particles emitted by the trucks ‘ engines. The manipulation of the systems had made the systems completely out of service.

Against this background, the Lithuanian received a fine of DKK 22,500. However, the Belarusian was charged with further conditions, among other aspects of tachograph manipulation, and has therefore been faced with a fine of DKK 80,000. Both hauliers have acknowledged Conditions.

The lorries will not be allowed to move on until the fines have been paid, just as the trucks have been past a licensed workshop in Denmark to be made legal again.
