A 27-year-old Lithuanian man was given an immediate sentence of three months in prison and deportation from Denmark for committing two burglaries in 2018 and violating an entry ban.
He committed a burglary in two neighbouring houses on Damhusdalen in Rødovre in August 2018 and has since left the country. On Tuesday he was back in Denmark – now in handcuffs and with a police escort – to be prosecuted for the two-year-old thefts.
At a constitutional hearing on Wednesday, a judge in Glostrup ruled that he should be three months in prison for the two burglary in Rødovre and for violating an entry ban he received in 2015. The judge also ordered that, after serving his sentence, he be deported from Denmark for six years.
