
On Wednesday, a 52-year-old man, a Lithuanian national, was sentenced at a court in Sønderborg to one year and nine months in prison, permanently for the large-scale burglary of bicycles and for violating an earlier entry ban.
The 52-year-old was arrested on July 9 by German police in a van on the motorway just south of the border after officers found 15 bicycles hidden in the van at a checkpoint.
